I work by building up a complex circuitry using simple elements of colour, shape, and movement and also variations of sound and light to suggest underlying relationships, expansive, rich surfaces and structure. I'm interested in the moment where we move from a recognised world into a dream world and the hypnotic concentrated state of making. I'm interested in the live formation of ideas and possibilities, witnessing a moment of coming together, from A to B of the so-called ‘creative process’ (or a deconstruction of previous ideas). This has lead me to sometimes work across disciplines as part of my studio practice and has in turn developed the installations I create to be open to curiosity and new connections. In my studio practice I believe in continuously re-questioning our conclusions and perception of identity, purity, and creation. I am also a musician and I still work with elements of improvisation.
